Welcome Gregor!!!

I dropped by your Ryze page to get to know you
better. Here's one of the things you say there...

"I believe that a wide open public debate on how science
and technology affects society and marginalized groups
is the only way to develop safeguards against abuse. I
believe that the dialog between the policy makers and
the stakeholders has to increase. I believe that so far
marginalized groups are rarely heard in this debate."

Although I would lean more strongly toward wide-open,
public CONVERSATION than 'debate' per se, I certainly
recognize debate as a particular kind/form of
discussion/conversation, so I'm with you there...

Now, please talk to me about 'marginalized groups'
I noticed a frequent use of the word 'marginalized'
and don't want to muck things up by assuming that I
would know how you're defining that -- so please,
Gregor...could you please share with me who you
consider to be members of a marginalized group?

And then share what you value or appreciate
most about that distinction?

Thanks,

--Mary K

I work on bioethics and disability issues and the evaluation of new emerging technologies such as Nanotechnologies. THat's why transhumanism is quite familiar to me (have a whole section on that on my personal webpage) >More can be found on my Ryze page and my personal webpage >www.bioethicsanddisability.org/start.html > >I hope some people have some ideas to further my "Want" section of my Ryze page. >And if you think I can help somehow let me know. >Cheers >GRegor >
